Why we give them away

Labs is the proving ground for the automation work

We do not build tools to sell tools. We build them to find out whether an idea holds, and the fastest way to find out is to ship it and use it every day.

  • We use them every dayThese are our own working tools before they are anyone else's. If one stops being useful to us, that shows up fast, which is a harsher test than a roadmap.
  • The good ones graduateCareerCraft began as a Labs tool and now has its own place in the product line. That path is the point of Labs.
  • Built where the problem isSome problems belong in a browser tab, some need to read your disk, some have to live inside Chrome. We build for wherever the work happens rather than forcing everything into a web app.

The rules we hold ourselves to

Free, and free of the usual catch

No sign-up to use it

Every web tool works the moment it loads. There is no trial, no wall, and no email required to get to the useful part.

Your data stays on your device

Nothing is uploaded unless you ask for it. The card for each tool says exactly what it stores and where.

Signing in only adds sync

An account does one thing: carries your data between your own devices. It unlocks no features and gates nothing.

One tool can show ads, and it says so

The Markdown Editor has a single ad slot, off unless we enable it, and the card above marks it. No other tool has one.

What are you still doing by hand?

Tell us and we may build it. If it is bigger than a tool, that is the automation work, and we should talk.
