If Gatekeeper says damaged or cannot be opened
The download is fine — macOS Gatekeeper is blocking an unsigned app. After you install, remove only the quarantine flag with the command below (do not clear all extended attributes). Prefer verifying the published SHA-256 when one is listed above.
- 1. Open the DiskLens DMG and drag DiskLens into your Applications folder.
- 2. Open Terminal (Cmd + Space, type Terminal, press Return).
- 3. Paste the command below, press Return, then open DiskLens from Applications. If Terminal reports that the attribute is missing, the quarantine flag was already cleared.
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/DiskLens.appOther option: try opening DiskLens once, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and use Open Anyway.
